So you clicked on the “About Me” part of my website aye?

Want to find out a bit more about Ashley and who I am? Well, let’s see if I can do a good enough job of that! Where to begin? Hmmm.

As I write this, I’m 33 years old and I’m sitting at my desk in Bali, Indonesia.

About me

I was always intending to create a website and write an “About Me” section but I just never got around to it.
Now’s the time to bite the bullet and put pen to paper.
Or fingers to keyboard as it were!

So let me take you back 14 years or so.

I was working in London, UK.
(I’m originally from the UK; a town around an hour from London)
I had gone to University for 3 months and decided to quit. I went travelling with my best mate around the USA.
We managed to do that for around 4 months before we ran out of money, and reality came crashing down around me.
I bounced around different jobs. Not really finding my place. Not enjoying working for someone else and being told what to do.
I sat in a printing manufacturers office, selling their printers. *YAWN*

"Me and my best mate in California trying a random oxygen bar 😂"
On the Beijing to Shanghai sleeper train - looks like I was happy with my top bunk!

I walked various neighbourhoods of London, knocking on doors trying to sell stuff.
I worked for a tech company, travelling to different countries each week to have meetings with people about their websites.

I tried selling honey to Chinese businesses in Shanghai and Beijing (so random I know)

I went and lived in Romania for 3 years and worked as the general manager of a Transport Company.

I’ve done a lot and I regret none of it but…
I think I was genuinely allergic to the whole Rat Race and as the years went on, the more I had to kid myself that this was what I wanted.
But everyday I knew, this wasn’t for me.
Forcing myself out of bed every morning to be at a desk by a certain time in order to progress someone else’s dreams was not my idea of a life.
But I continued to do it.
Purely because I didn’t have any other options. I knew I needed money to live and I wasn’t about to get it any other way then continuing the 9-5.

I miss them everyday but I will continue working as hard as possible
to make them proud 🙂

Fast forward to the summer of 2019.

Little did I know that I was about to face the hardest time in my life that I’ve ever had to face.
My Mum and Nan passed away within 4 days of each other.
Completely unexpectedly and well… what can I say? It was immensely difficult.
Those two were the important people in my life and I was suddenly left alone.
If you’ve ever lost a loved one, you’ll know what I mean.
There’s an emptiness that never goes away but you have to pick yourself up and keep going.
Now, because I had to be away from the office due to commitments like attending the funeral and dealing with family issues, the company I was working for (and not hitting my targets) decided that they would ask me to leave.

Using the reason that I hadn’t made any sales as the excuse/reason but knowing full well that I was going through a hard time, they still decided to say goodbye. I get it. It’s business.

But damn, everything was happening at once.

So I had to deal with the fact that I ZERO money coming in and having to compute losing my Mum and Nan.
But hey, it’s the tough times that make you who you are right?
I had a choice.
Either try to get another job with a competitor company (and just breeze over the fact that I got fired) or try something else.
The ex-employer had given me 1 and a half months salary as a “Golden Handshake” and wished me well. Even offered to give me a good reference if I needed it.

How nice of them…
So what could I do with that money?
I’d always wanted to start my own business.
But again, I didn’t have a clue what to do.

500ft above the sea and swimming in a glass bottomed pool - amazing!

Then one day, while I was at home, being unemployed, I stumbled across a YouTube video.

It detailed a method I could use to make money online.
Ok, I thought, let’s give this a whirl.
It was an in-depth, step by step guide. All I had to do was follow the steps and implement myself.
I did it (after much trial and error) and I had made $360 in a few days!
It actually worked! I knew I was onto something here. Fast forward again to the present day, some 2 and a half years later. My business is now making over 6 figures per year and growing consistently, month after month. I’m completely location independent and can work wherever there is a Wi-Fi connection. I’ve travelled and lived in 3 countries since I got fired. I no longer have to deal with the grey, wet and windy UK weather and I’m not forced to go into an office with people I don’t really like. And I am SO grateful for that. But I’ve still got a long way to go.

I want to retire in the next few years

so I’ll be taking the business to better and bigger levels before then so that I can stop working all together.
Let’s see how long it takes me. I’m excited to see the path I take and where I end up.
I also want to help others have the same lifestyle. I can’t wait to see how many people I can help and open their eyes to the potential of making money online.
On my YouTube channel, I review various products that get released onto the market and I will give my impartial opinion on them so that YOU are fully informed before buying something.

I’ll also be uploading various podcast type chats with various people in the industry as well as pure value videos where I’ll try to provide some insights that will help you on your online journey.
I’d love to have you along for the ride so make sure you follow me on my various platforms.
